Pilates Studio
Cosmic Studio is a Pilates studio in Madrid with a hard-flash, chrome-heavy look that stands well outside the rest of the wellness category. Cosmic Reset is their next thing: a Pilates class held inside Hamam Al Ándalus, followed by a relaxing time in the hammam. I'm building the identity and the art direction for it, as a collaboration with the studio.
Context
Cosmic already has a visual world: hard flash, chrome, flat frontal framing. The hammam brings the opposite materials, steam, terracotta, low light. Both had to live inside one identity.
Approach
I started with the symbol, a four-point star that reads as a celestial object, a spinning top and a hammam form depending on how you look at it.
The palette came down to four, Steam Cream, Hammam Terracotta, Cosmic Black and a chrome I treat as a finish rather than a flat colour, which is what lets both worlds sit in the same frame.
Then, I art directed a full hammam series, holding Cosmic's flat hard-flash register instead of letting it drift into soft spa light, styling it retro-futurist and grading the set until it read like a special cosmic experience.
Outcome
The class starts running monthly soon, and it goes out with its own identity. Cosmic Reset now pops out of the established Cosmic world without leaving it.
